We are looking for a highly organised logistics professional with experience in air freight operations and international transport coordination to join a logistics provider in Frankfurt.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage time-critical logistics solutions globally, ensuring all schedules and deadlines are met.
- Liaise with international air freight agents, airline operators, and brokers to secure the most cost-effective and efficient transport solutions.
- Assess potential risks involved with each shipment and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Calculate air freight rates, including chargeable weight conversions.
- Monitor the progress of shipments, providing clients with updates at agreed milestones and ensuring smooth operations
- Maintain and update the bespoke transport management system accurately.
- Ensure air waybills (AWBs) are issued promptly and correctly.
- Coordinate bookings directly with airlines for seamless transport execution.
- Work closely with handling agents in Frankfurt and customs agents to facilitate smooth airport operations.
- Handle incoming calls professionally, addressing enquiries efficiently.
- Perform general administrative tasks and support the team with additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in time-critical logistics, air freight, or a related field is desirable.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics forwarding software.
- Solid understanding of air freight regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
