We are seeing a Senior Manager, M&A Tax Consulting to join our US based client.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote working.

This position will work with Tax, Audit, and Advisory teams to provide expert guidance on complex compensation and benefits matters while leading client engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Tax, Audit, and Advisory teams to provide compensation, benefits, and HR-related services, with a strong emphasis on M&A tax.
  • Manage senior-level relationships with large clients, providing strategic advice and ensuring service excellence.
  • Lead teams of tax professionals and assistants in delivering high-quality client projects.
  • Oversee financial performance, including billing, collections, and budgeting for assigned engagements.
  • Assess tax implications for clients, develop tax arguments, and offer strategic recommendations.
  • Contribute to business development and market activities, maintaining a strong presence in the industry.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to tax professionals, fostering their development and expertise.
  • Deliver internal and external training sessions, seminars, and workshops on tax-related topics.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and firm-wide policies while managing risk effectively.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, legislation, and best practices in compensation and benefits taxation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of seven years of recent experience in federal taxation within an accounting firm, corporation, or law firm.
  • Previous experience in the M&A Tax sector is required, ideally within a Big4 or Tax Accounting firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or completion of an advanced professional designation such as MBA, ASOA, ENR ACT, FSA, CBP, CCP, CEBS, CPP, GPHR, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Experience in corporate taxation and partnerships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and service teams.
  • Strong advisory, compliance, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax matters clearly.
