Role and Responsibilities
- Actively seek new business opportunities for the department.
- Expert at “business getting” bringing in consignments.
- Manage departmental budgeting to ensure optimal use of resources.
- Maintain regular contact with collectors and owners of significant collections.
- Develop and update a comprehensive database of buyers and vendors.
- Collaborate with regional representatives in Asia to identify and leverage business opportunities.
- Host and entertain clients to build and strengthen relationships.
- Curate innovative sales to drive additional revenue.
- Ensure all contractual obligations to buyers and vendors are met.
- Participate in global sales, valuations, and various projects.
- Provide Asian clients access to global markets by working with an international team of specialists.
Requirements
- Proven track record in the auction industry and/or specialty field.
- Strong consigning ability
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Established connections with dealers and collectors in the field.
- Proficiency in computer applications and business software.
- Excellent communication and networking skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin & English languages.
- Ability to travel as needed to achieve business goals.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
