We are currently working with a moving and relocation company based in Portland, ME who are looking for a skilled and organised Moving Dispatcher to join their growing team.

This role is focused around the coordination of the company’s fleet and crews, ensuring that there is strong communication between the crews and that efficient schedules are followed and maintained. 

Responsibilities of the Moving Dispatcher include, but are not limited to:

• Organize and streamline all aspects of daily dispatch, such as crew assignments, scheduling, and routing. 
• Effectively communicate with other departments, drivers, and consumers. 
• Track the whereabouts of drivers and deliver up-to-date job status information. 
• Efficiently resolve scheduling conflicts and routing difficulties. 
• Use dispatch software to monitor driver performance and shipments. 
• Respond to questions and address concerns to deliver first-rate customer service. 
• Respect all corporate guidelines and DOT requirements. 
• Lead crews both inside and outside of the vehicles, inspiring them to work to a high level.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required. 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience within the moving and relocation sector required. 
• Strong time-management and organizing abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking.
• The capacity to multitask and perform under duress.
• Proficiency with GPS and dispatch software.
• Tech aware and fast to adapt to new developments in technology.
