Our client, a leading moving and relocation company, is seeking an experienced Government Moving Sales Director to join their team in Sterling, VA. 

This role will be critical in expanding the company's presence within government markets, including securing and managing contracts with federal agencies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GSA schedules, government procurement processes, and a proven track record in driving sales growth within this specialized sector.

Responsibilities of the Government Moving Sales Director:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting government agencies, focusing on GSA contracts.
  • Lead business development initiatives to secure new contracts with federal, state, and local government clients.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key government accounts, ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and bids for government contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and finance, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, compliance, and reporting to meet government regulations.
  • Identify new opportunities within the GSA schedule and other government procurement programs.
  • Track market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in the government sector.
  • Establish sales goals and regularly report on progress to senior leadership.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and government-related forums.


Requirements of the Government Moving Sales Director:

  • Proven experience in government sales, with a focus on GSA contracts within the moving and relocation industry.
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, GSA schedules, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and achieving revenue targets in a government sales environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with government clients.
  • Ability to manage complex contracts and navigate government regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
