As an International Assignment Consultant, you’ll be the go-to person for helping your clients manage their employees’ international assignments smoothly. You’ll be handling everything from social security and taxes to employment contracts, immigration, and all the admin bits that come with global mobility processes.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Offer Practical Advice: Guide HR teams and managers through the ins and outs of sending employees on international assignments, whether short-term or long-term. You’ll cover everything they need to know—taxes, health coverage, visas, retirement plans—while making sure everything sticks to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Crunch the Numbers: Put together clear cost estimates for international moves, covering both what employees take home and what it costs the company. You’ll also keep an eye on payroll, working closely with HR teams in different locations.
  • Manage Assignments: Help plan, execute, and keep track of international assignments, making sure everything’s in line with the latest legal, social, and tax rules. Whether it’s expatriates, inpatriates, or short-term projects, you’ll ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Keep Vendors in Check: Coordinate with service providers who support these international moves. From getting quotes to tracking their progress and handling payments, you’ll make sure they deliver as promised.
  • Tackle Taxes: Provide tax support, including preparing necessary calculations, offering advice, and filing tax returns.
  • Stay Updated: Keep yourself and your team informed about the latest legal, social, and tax changes worldwide, and make sure these updates are applied where needed.
  • Project Support: Act as the main link for “outbound” projects, making sure everyone—from the internal team to clients and external partners—is on the same page.
  • Improve Processes: Help refine and roll out new processes and tools to make assignment management more efficient and effective.
  • Write and Review: Draft reports, studies, and other documents related to assignment projects. You might also carry out audits and help develop policies with the team.

About You:

  • Skills: You’re detail-oriented, organised, and proactive. You can work well on your own but also know how to be a great team player.
  • Tech Savvy: You’re comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Language: You’re fluent in English & French.
