We are partnering with a leading Aerospace company who are looking for a Director of Human Resources based in their Milwaukee, WI office.

This position will report directly into the President and will be responsible for work closely with the leadership team to ensure that HR practices align with and support the organization’s strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with the company’s objectives, focusing on recruitment, employee retention, development, and training.
  • Assess workforce needs and manage the recruitment process to ensure the hiring of qualified candidates and optimal talent management.
  • Design, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee surveys to support organizational goals.
  • Partner with the HR Manager and team to oversee key HR functions including compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and handling disciplinary matters.
  • Monitor compliance with employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels, ensuring that policies and practices remain up to date with legal requirements.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring adequate staffing and effective resource management.
  • Develop and manage the HR department's annual budget, ensuring alignment with overall business priorities.
  • Track HR metrics to assess progress on organizational goals and departmental performance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, HR best practices, and changes in employment law, and communicate necessary policy adjustments to senior management.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the organization’s goals.

Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience in human resources management, with significant exposure to strategic HR planning and leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Ability to adjust strategies to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and regulations.
