Sustainability Consultant – Glasgow

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will be at the forefront of reducing environmental impact and promoting long-term sustainability for the organisation. Based in Glasgow, this role will involve the development and execution of sustainability strategies, focusing on carbon reduction, waste management, and environmental performance. Join us in making a difference and supporting the transition to a more sustainable future.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Support the delivery of the organisation's sustainability strategy, aligning with environmental and regulatory standards.
  • Collect, analyse, and report on sustainability data related to energy use, water consumption, waste management, and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and implement initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
  • Promote circular economy principles, ensuring resource efficiency, waste minimisation, and effective recycling.
  • Engage with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to foster a sustainability culture.
  • Ensure compliance with sustainability-related policies, regulations, and GHG protocols.
  • Contribute to preparing sustainability reports on environmental performance and progress towards targets.
  • Manage projects, driving sustainability initiatives from concept through to implementation.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a sustainability-related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainable Development).
  • Experience in sustainability roles, with a deep understanding of environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Knowledge of GHG emissions and carbon footprinting in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
  • Familiarity with circular economy principles in business applications.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and data management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting sustainability concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Project management experience with the ability to implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Full UK Driving Licence for occasional travel to different sites.
