This role focuses on managing inbound and outbound immigration matters for both EU and non-EU nationals on short- and long-term assignments.
You will act as the key contact for relocating employees and their families throughout their assignment, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with immigration regulations. The role requires a high level of organization, a proactive approach, and strong communication skills.
Duties of the Immigration Consultant:
- Serve as the main point of contact for immigration processes from arrival through assignment end
- Advise on immigration procedures, timelines, documentation, and compliance
- Prepare and file visa and immigration applications
- Provide guidance on the legalization and translation of documents
- Handle outbound immigration processes and liaise with stakeholders
- Update and maintain records in the internal tracking system
- Coordinate closely with HR representatives, employees, and service providers
- Review and approve supplier invoices; manage client invoicing
- Support reporting and data management for immigration services
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of Dutch immigration law is essential; Belgian immigration knowledge is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with legal/regulatory documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus
- Ability to work independently under pressure and manage changing priorities
