Import Coordinator – Uxbridge

Join a leading aerospace organisation in Middlesex as an Import Coordinator, managing vital import and customs processes. This role ensures seamless logistics operations by coordinating import clearances, handling returned goods, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate import clearance instructions for items sourced for company use, returned goods for repair, and test equipment.
  • Manage the Return Material Authorisation (RMA) process from initial customer contact to receipt at the company.
  • Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and HMRC to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Control the Inward Processing Relief (IPR) process, from RMA management to Bill of Discharge completion.
  • Ensure compliance with import and customs regulations, including Returned Goods Relief, IPR (for Repairs), and Home Use procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive import shipment records, ensuring complete documentation for audit purposes.
  • Verify and review shipping documents and MSS reports for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to uphold high professional standards and enhance logistics efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with external partners to address and resolve import-related issues.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the International Logistics Department.
  • Monitor and adapt to changes in customs regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Assist in implementing best practices for import logistics and customs processes.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in import logistics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of customs processes, including Returned Goods Relief, IPR (for Repairs), and Home Use.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent enterprise systems (training available if required).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
