Our client, an international logistics provider is looking to hire experienced Business Development Directors, International Freight Forwarding to be based in New York & New Jersey. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Focus on selling International Freight Forwarding services including Import, Export, Air, Ocean, and Road Freight as well as warehousing solutions
  • Seek opportunities to generate new business and increase sales through prospecting and cold calling 
  • Prepare quotes for international freight forwarding services 
  • Ensure sales targets are met and exceeded 
  • Attend industry relevant events to generate leads, increase brand awareness and build relationships

Main Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years Sales & Business Development experience in the Freight Forwarding, Logistics or Shipping industries
  • Must have experience selling international air and ocean freight services in addition to international Trans-Pacific East Bound (TPEB) experience 
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Sales hunter with the ability to sell through a consultative solutions based approach 
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with new and existing clients 
  • Happy to travel as required
