We are supporting our client in their search for a highly skilled US Payroll Specialist with a focus on US payroll processing. Experience using Workday is essential for this role, and knowledge of international payroll is advantageous but not required.

This position is hands-on, responsible for the operational processing of US payroll within a fast-paced, high-touch environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working within HR functions, with a focus on US payroll, and will be able to leverage technology for payroll processing and automation.

The US Payroll Specialist will sit within the wider HR team and will be responsible for ensuring employees have a seamless and efficient payroll experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and forward thinking organisation.

Key duties of the role include:
  • Manage and process US payroll in-house within Workday.
  • Assist with payroll-related strategic initiatives, including process improvements and technology automation.
  • Work with the Payroll Lead to review current US payroll processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency by leveraging Workday capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team on Workday Payroll configuration and testing; support the implementation of system updates and enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment, payroll, and benefits.
  • Hekp to maintain and update payroll policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide payroll-related data and analytics to support HR and business decisions.
  • Assist with the management of vendor services and contracts related to payroll, if applicable.

Requirements for the role:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in US payroll processing.
  • Experience using Workday for payroll is essential.
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, general payroll practices, and HR policies.
  • A detail-oriented professioanl with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong IT skills using Workday, MS Excel, and other HR-related systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly-motivated, with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask efficiently.

This position offers a hybrid working structure and requires 3 days working in the office each week.
