We are partnering with a market leading Manufacturing company who are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team in the Cambridge area.

This role will be making sure the company contracts are in line with the strategic objectives of the business and giving the larger procurement team crucial assistance they need to handle complicated contracts. Working directly with internal stakeholders, you'll make sure contracts adhere to the law and further the business's goals both operationally and commercially.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and update contract templates to meet business goals and legal requirements
  • Lead supplier negotiations, focusing on securing valuable terms, maximizing cost savings, and building long-term partnerships
  • Support the procurement team in managing high-value contracts to align with financial and operational objectives.
  • Identify and manage risks in contract terms while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, operations, and project management teams to maintain clear communication and alignment.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, including creation, execution, renewal, and performance management.
  • Continuously seek improvements in contract templates, negotiation strategies, and procurement processes

Requirements:

  • You have a solid background in supply chain management, procurement, and contract law, with experience handling complex contracts.
  • You're skilled in business negotiations and finding win-win solutions for both suppliers and the organization.
  • You excel at managing risks, quickly spotting potential issues, and ensuring contracts meet legal and regulatory standards.
  • As a strong communicator, you work well with different teams and stakeholders
  • Your strategic thinking helps you drive value, efficiency, and cost savings in your work
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCM, CPSM, CILEX) would be an advantage.

This role offers hybrid working, but regular visits to the main site will be needed to work closely with the team and key stakeholders.
