The Pricing Specialist will be responsible for pricing air and ocean freight shipments and assisting with routings.
Responsibilities:
- Create price quotations for international and domestic freight shipments via air and ocean
- Provide the most efficient and cost-effective method of shipping
- Analyze and improve pricing methods
- Negotiate rates and route freight when necessary
- Process shipping documentation
- Maintain and update pricing for key accounts
- Track shipments, keeping the customer up to date and resolving any issues that arise
- Research and compile market information and monitor price changes
- Liaise with carriers, agents, Customs Brokers and air and ocean terminal operators
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years Freight Pricing experience, air and ocean freight
- Experienced in Air and Ocean Freight coordination
- Excellent knowledge of freight forwarding process
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using freight software such as Cargowise preferred however not essential
